I haven’t experienced the first day of school in a few years, but being the new kid in the firm is just the same when you finally break through the crowd and win the hearts of the partners for your first “real” job.
I started with Curley & Pynn two weeks ago. I was nervous, but as a gator alumnus, clearly I know what I am doing. In all seriousness, I have been happy to stay quiet and listen to phone calls with clients, read emails to the media, attend meetings that bring about solutions and learn how to put into practice what I have studied. Imagine my delight when I was able to attend last night’s Florida Public Relations Association Image Awards with the firm.
The evening was lively and enjoyable – congratulations to the members of our firm that helped put the event together! Curley & Pynn was honored with four awards, which was exciting to be a part of. Even more exciting was mingling with fellow PR practitioners and hearing words of praise for the firm after finding out where I worked. My colleagues spoke highly of our office and reinforced respect that Curley & Pynn has in the community. I was also congratulated for starting work at such a reputable firm.
If there was a drop of me that was not proud before, it is a true honor to be a part of a team that drives results for our clients and is recognized for it. I look forward to continuing in celebration of future achievements.
